Irish Dolls Wellness Series at Whalebones

Welcoming the Irish Dolls

The morning was organised by Gemma, founder and director of Irish Dolls in London, a network for Irish women to come together and enjoy diverse activities, while honouring their deep Irish roots. From ginger and turmeric shots to fresh fruit and wholesome biscuits Gemma made sure everyone was full of vigour and ready for the half day programme.

What happened at the Retreat?

Kim from KB yoga club led the group in a beautiful opening yoga session, just right to prepare everyone for their journaling in the ancient woodlands around Whalebones Wellbeing Centre. Participants focused on selflove, their emotions, their strengths and what they are truly grateful for. These written exercises prepared them perfectly for the Transformational Breath® session which followed. Aurora my Transformational Breath® colleague and I introduced the gathering to this profound breath technique developed by Dr Judith Kravitz. Everyone fully engaged with the process and consequently had deep and transformative experiences.

What were the benefits for the Irish Dolls?

For some there was emotional release by shedding tears, others had deep physical transformation, feeling release in the spine and even healing constipation. Yet others reconnected to the innocence of the child within. It was humbling to hear people share their journeys during their very first Transformational Breath Session®. A full introductory session takes a half day to cover the depth and breath of experience which one can expect from this conscious connected breathwork, so well done to all for opening and sharing so generously.

Testimonial from Gemma, Irish Dolls Founder

“Stepping through the gates of Whalebones Wellbeing Centre is like entering a pocket of pure magic. As soon as you walk in, an undeniable sense of calm washes over you – it truly is a sanctuary.

We recently hosted our "Wellness at Whalebones" morning here, and the experience was nothing short of extraordinary, largely thanks to Helena and her wonderful assistant, Aurora. Helena led the breathwork segment of our day, and the transformation she facilitated was incredible. I, along with many others from our Irish Dolls community, experienced profound emotional releases in what felt like the safest, most supportive space imaginable.

Helena creates an environment where everyone feels completely at ease, knowing they are in truly expert and compassionate hands. Our community was able to fully relax and embrace the moment.

We're already planning to book many more events here. If you're looking for a truly special place that fosters deep wellbeing and offers exceptional guidance, Whalebones and Helena's work come with our highest recommendation.”

My thoughts

It was an honour to welcome Irish women to Whalebones, to hold space for these beautiful souls and to connect with my own country women. Thank you, Gemma, for making it possible and I hope I will see many more Irish Dolls in London in the coming months.
